BON JOUR

Many of us must have wanted to learn a new language, but somehow couldn’t because of their school, college or work schedule. This lockdown is an excellent opportunity to do the same.  Studying a foreign language has multiple benefits. It is not only interesting but also has no age boundary either.

If you are an MBA aspirant then a new language would add up to be a skill in your profile. Only 33% of the total students appearing for MBA interviews have an additional language in their profile. This surely will improve your chances of getting into a B-School. The reason why B-Schools focus on a foreign language is it increases your chances of getting hired by a firm from that particular country.

If you are planning for MS abroad then learning a new language might give an edge to your application. For example if you are applying for MS in Germany you must be aware that you should have a minimum of B1 level certification for German language. Learning from home may not fetch you a language certificate from an acknowledged source but the advantage being you can prepare for the examination now and appear for it once the lockdown ends.

If you love travelling and plan to visit a country in future, then a language related to that country definitely would make your journey more beautiful. You can get exposed to the literature of that country.

So what are you waiting for, take up a language course and get going. If you are confused as which language to choose, this article might be of some help.
